About the Department

It is one of the finest departments of the college. The department started it's journey way back in the year 1958. Pass course in biological sciences was started in 1970. In 1980 honours course was affiliated under University of Calcutta. The department is well decorated and well equipped. Since 2008, the department is running under the affiliation of West Bengal State University. This department has a rich alumni who are well established in different spheres of life.
